Winter Series Sashes

We have now sent out all the winners sashes and have received some very nice thank you emails and cards. Thank you to everyone who waited so patiently.

Showjumping starts at 10am at 60 cm.  You may enter more than one class and may enter combined training and showjumping or either.  Horses in combined training must be ridden by the same rider in dressage and showjumping; however can be ridden by another rider in the showjumping classes (entered separately)

Free practice rounds from 8am with payment of show levy.

Combined training dressage tests will start as per the draw (usually before their showjumping heights open).  Those entered in combined training will not have their name on the Showjumping draw - they are entered in the CT class at that height.

Any other questions?  Email the Show Secretary

2010-11 Summer Combined Training & Showjumping Series

16th January 2011 - Summer Stunner

Summer Stunner Show Jumping & Combined Training

Well the wind it was a howling... gale force warnings couldn't keep away the keen riders and their equally keen supporters.

As usual, we saw some great performances, including a very creditable Peter Schreurs on KC who won 2nd in the 60cm and 5th in the 70cm - not too shabby for his first show - well done, Peter!

We love seeing new riders and combinations out and about.  Kelli Benge's lovely Miracle Boy showed what a fabulous horse he is by taking her little sister, Rebecca, around the 1m for a win.  He also won the 1m15 and 1m20 with Kelli.

The CatWalk Trust classes raised $75 for the Trust - and Yvonne Steers and Kelly Burgess went home with fabulous sashes and cups for their wins.  Remember to come and defend your titles next year!

Grant from NZ Equine was the photographer on the day - and he will have photos up at www.nzequine.co.nz in a few days - so keep an eye out.

The last show of this series is on Sunday 13th March - just before the Horse of the Year Show in Hastings the next week.  We hope to see you all there and remind riders that only riders present at that show are eligible to win the Series Sashes and Crystal Trophies.

12th December 2010 Show

We had a stunning day of jumping and competitors enjoyed the break from the Saturday's stormy weather.

Have a great Christmas, we will see you jumpers in January 2011.  We have still to decide a date, so will publish it on this site as soon as we have.

21st November Show

Although it was a wet day, competitors still came to jump - and jump they did!  Congratulations to Paul Harris who continued his round in the 1m class even after his stirrup broke!  Well done Paul!  We thought you were going to do a Mark Todd at Burghley and finish the course, but obviously discretion got the better part of valour.  Also a big well done to Alex McKee on Skye.  Alex is our new working pupil and won all three classes she entered on her lovely appaloosa horse.  Alex is a dressage expert but obviously the lessons with Erika have been paying off as she confidently competed to 80cm.

10th October 2010

We had a small number of hardy competitors brave winter's final gale... well, we hope it was.  Congratulations to everyone who picked up valuable series points.

19th September

What a horrible weekend weather-wise - but despite the wind and showers, we saw several few brave competitors battle the elements and give their horses some great rounds.

Congratulations to our Champions and Reserves as well.  We hope to see you all this summer.

15th August

We were very fortunate with the weather, it definately got chilly but the forecast rain didn't arrive.  We had so many entries all the way up to the 1m classes - that our last person didn't finish till just after sunset.  Nga Tawa had two truck loads of horses come, and Kyrewood brought their students as well.  Thankyou to every one who helped out on the day (our secretary had been injured so couldn't be here). We'll see you all at the last of the Winter Series - Sunday 19th September.

20th June Show

The weather wasn't very kind to competitors - cold wintry rain and showers meant the cafe was a welcome place to be between rounds.  The indoor arena certainly was a bonus as well.

BUT - we saw some awesome rounds and were very happy to see three stallions competing - our own, Tielcey Park JK Latano (ridden by Hailey Fleming), Gotcha Looking at Me (ridden by Sharon Malcolm), and Heart of Oak (ridden by Laken Rose).  All three were immaculately behaved and we look forward to seeing them out and about again at Tielcey Park.

16th May Show

What a lot of fun everyone had this weekend.  The weather held off until the final few rounds, and even though it was a little chilly the jumping was hot hot hot! Big thumbs up to Kerri Mareeba who completed a 1m round bareback - way to go Kerri!

It was lovely to see wee Tielcey Park Lady Tuscany (Tosca) with her new rider, Nathan Dallas.  Nathan figured Tosca out in their first round and promptly placed third in the 70cm class.

The competition is already hotting up with several people tied for points.  We look forward to seeing you allon the 20th of June.

It was a drizzly day that stayed warm, even though the riders got wet.  A small number enjoyed our safe surfaces and earned valuable points in the series race...The final show of the series is 21st February - remember, to win a series title you need to be present at the show to collect it (with or without your horse.)
