Winter Registered Dressage
A chilly winter day greeted riders who were grateful the rain held off until after lunch. We saw some good efforts and riders trying out new levels - and were happy to see three horses contest the Inter II. The series points are still neck and neck in many grades - everything rests on the final two days (4&5 September) - remember, double points are awarded at this show, everything could change!

Writers
Needed
|
Organising a show is harder than it looks... one of our main restrictions is having enough writers on the day. We need a writer for each judge or the show can't go on.
Are you able to help us out by writing for 1/2 a day at our shows? We need dressage and showjumping writers. You don't need any experience - the judges will tell you what to do, and it's a great way to learn what judges are looking for, and be involved in the day without a horse. We will feed and water you on the day, and if you've a rider we'll give you a free ground levy.
We need people on these dates:
- 8th August (dressage)
- 15th August (dressage and showjumping)
- 4th & 5th September (dressage)
- 12th September (dressage)
- 19th September (dressage and showjumping)
- 2nd & 3rd October (dressage)
- 16 & 17 October (showjumping)
- 5&7 November (dressage)
- 2 & 3 January (showjumping)
Contact Margo by phone on 06 353 3533 or email her by clicking here.

Casual Ground Levy
Reduced
|
We know the Recession isn't over... so we've reduced our casual ground levies to help you out - The outdoor arenas can be used for $10/horse and the indoor arena is now $15/horse.
Please make sure you pay when you ride, we've had a few people leave without paying recently. The payment box and envelopes to put your money in are to the left of stable block entrance (in the Utility Room)
|
Staff Update |
We've got a great team working with us now and have had a few changes, the least of which is having the office staffed more often - our phone number is 06 353 3533 and our fax is 06 353 3536. Our office email is info@tielceypark.co.nz.
John Graham has finished his jobs at Tielcey Park and has returned home to Invercargill. Rohan Gladding is our farm maintenance guy and assists with setting up for shows.
Erika Jewell is back and Jo Chaney has returned to her family in Northland. Elizabeth Nelson and Hannah Owens look after the horses on the trainer's day off.
Geeta Jalota is getting our end of year financials in order.
Laura Mowbray is invaluable in the cafe on show days and is assisted by Kelsey Streater, Anna Palmer, Rachel Henderson, Molika Mao, Sheila Ramsay and Gerdi Brits.
Margo Aasen continues to manage and operate Tielcey Park. Email her by clicking here
Timo Aasen is no longer associated with Tielcey Park - please direct
all enquiries to Margo.

Chris Chugg Showjumping Clinic - Spring 2010 (dates to be confirmed - possibly coming in October)
For those of you who don't know Chris - he has been a World Cup of
Showjumping representative for Australia and a NZ Horse of the Year
Winner... and has won too many important competitions to mention
here... click here to visit his website.
Chris is a serious trainer (he gets his pupils skills up so they
compete successfully at the to the big shows!) and trains in the style
of George Morris (USA Team Trainer & Chef d'Equipe). After his first clinic here we got great feedback - Oliver Edgecombe, Kim Zander,
Brooke Zander, Katharine Van Tuyl, Erika Jewell and many more
thought the two days was too short - they want to come back and bring
more horses.
I know we will fill the twenty places
available fast - first option goes to our Tielcey Park Club members -
then we will open up the lessons to other riders - if you're not
already a member, join by clicking here... - if you are - email Margo by clicking here to register your interest.
As we are collecting the money on Chris' behalf - you need to pay in
cash or give a cash cheque that can be cashed at the bank. A deposit
of $50 will confirm your place. The balance is to be paid as soon as
possible, you have a fortnight or I will no longer hold the place for
you. Refunds will be given when we find someone to fill your place.
Bookings will only be accepted for riders able to confirm for both
days.
