Holiday Programmes

We have had many requests to run our holiday programmes again - and we now have enough qualified staff to do the programmes justice. BUT places are very limited (max 15 per course) so book early.

If you cannot make all three days, you can do individual days for $70 each

We run two types of programmes:

You can either bring your own horse or pony, share one with a friend or use one of our riding school horses and ponies.   At all camps, you will have two riding lessons a day in small groups (max 5 people) and in addition to this you will learn about grooming, stable management, paddock management, first aid, feeding your horse, turning out for a show, maintaining and cleaning your tack, saddle fitting and natural horsemanship. We also have a forest trek but this is weather dependent.

Each programme culminates in a gymkhana (horse show) on the Thursday afternoon where you can enter horsemanship classes, show classes, jumping and games. Your family/friends are encouraged to attend these to support you. Each participant will win many ribbons which are yours to keep. Photos will be available on our website which you are welcome to download and print.

Our tutors are experienced with both horses and teaching adults and children. We have a maximum of five students to each tutor so you will receive a unique learning experience. You need to bring your own lunches, morning and afternoon teas.

Horses will stay at Tielcey Park in paddocks or stables, depending on their requirements. All their feed and hay needs to be brought with them, along with their tack and any other special items. You may camp onsite in your tent or truck/float.

We will run programmes every school holidays, so if you can't make these dates, let Margo know you want to be on the mailing list for future camps.

Three very happy girls aged 7 to 15 enjoyed their three days together, with their ponies.  All showed great improvement over the programme and their confidence was boosted immensely.
