Unregistered Dressage

2010 Winter Ribbbon DayDressage Series

 Dates:

9th May, 13th June; 11th July, 8th August, 12th September

Sunday July 11th

It may have been a chilly day but competitors enjoyed the lack of wind and rain - so no complaints there.

Another day of firsts with many riders taking home their first ribbons, or competing in their first dressage tests - in some cases even both!  We all enjoyed the happy and relaxed atmosphere and are looking forward to the next show.

Sunday 13th June 2010

The weather was a tad chilly for our keen competitors on Sunday - winners were very excited to receive the latest copy of "Ponies" magazine, sponsored by the editors.  You can subscibe to this great magazinefor only $29.50 a year (4 issues) by clicking here

We were excited to see two stallions competing, our own Tielcey Park JK Latano and the Fresian stallion Jolmar Fan Twillens - both were impeccably behaved and did well in their respective grades.

The series points are hotly contested, and we were excited to see Punga Oscar doing well for both his lead-rein riders (Bella and Abby Ives) and also in the Training level with Mayan Kelly - what a super pony.

Despite the grey day, Damian Day managed to get some fabulous photos.  He is saving up to renew his website now - so if you see a photo you like, please buy it.

We have a fun filled day ahead on Sunday - great entries across most levels and lots of new children in our lead-rein class.  It's great to see the littlies enjoying their dressage.

Our new announcer, Murray, will keep us entertained us with his modern musical mix and melodic voice.

We have a few places left in some classes - check the draw to see if we have room for you - late need to be phone in 06 353 3533 and then paid by a bank deposit with a $5 per horse late entry fee.

Saturday 13th February

A very blustery day for competitors - who coped well despite arenas falling and doors banging - some very good performances were seen andmost people gained series points.

The finals of this show are Sunday 7th March - we look forward to handing out series sashes

10 January 2010
Our first show of the new decade produced a windy morning but a hot afternoon.  The riders must have been practising over the Christmas break as we saw some markedly improved performances.  Congratulations to everyone, especially those bringing horses and ponies out for the first time.

22 November 2009
Despite torrential rain the night before, the day turned out quite rideable!  We were pleased to see some new combinations, and combinations trying a new level - well done to all of you.  A very pleasant day and some good results.  Merry Christmas and we will see you in January!
