About Tielcey Park
Tielcey Park is the largest equestrian centre in the lower North Island of New Zealand, built to an international standard on 130 acres. We have three all weather arenas, including an indoor arena, 32 stables in an American Barn and 80 uncovered yards. We also have a bridal trail through our forest. We have grazing available as well.
We stand the Holsteiner stallion, JK Latano and have a purpose built breeding barn and lab. All his servings are done by Artificial Insemination and we are trained to collect semen, analyse it and inseminate on site. We can also ship semen, and he has frozen semen stored.
Our trainer, Erika Kennedy, is a showhunter and showjumping specialist. She gives lessons, trains our own and outside horses, and competes regularly throughout the year.
Our school holiday programme is a very popular course held in every school holidays. Children enjoy learning how to ride better and also about cleaning tack, stables and pony management. The final day of the course is a gymkhana (horse show) where they win lots of ribbons which are theirs to keep.
Tielcey Park hosts more than 35 shows a year - in dressage, showjumping, combined training, pleasure horse, pony club, adult riding club, and miniatures. We also host international training clinics, such as Hubertus Hufendiek and Bret Parbury.
